Kimmie is a native Detroiter, a descendant of the late/ great legendary movie icon Lena Horne and the niece of singer/ songwriter Cleveland Horne of the Fantastic Four.
Kimmie endowed with a warm sultry voice and sophistication of the phenomenal ladies of jazz, is both an outstanding vocalist and enchanting performer.
Horne is known to take her audiences on a journey through blends of nostalgia jazz classics, sassy blues and dynamic rhythms accompanied by her incredibly talented band of musicians.
Kimmie is beyond thrilled to celebrate a few milestones during her anticipated return to the Dirty Dog Jazz Cafe on May 1st, 2nd and 3rd. It is her Birthday Weekend coupled with the celebration of her Upcoming, Award Winning KIMMIE HORNE JAZZ FESTIVAL’s “ 10th Anniversary” on August 8th and 9th. (Save the Date).
